Adam P. Bates
Ask Adam Bates and he'll tell you; successful trial lawyers have to be tenacious, fearless and passionate about their cases and clients. But they also
need to be humble and willing to collaborate. Fortunately, Adam possesses all of these qualities and more. So it's no wonder clients trust him to try
their most difficult cases and his peers constantly look to him for advice.
Adam concentrates his efforts on workers' compensation and personal injury defense. On his first solo jury trial, Adam was able to: a) attain a victory for his client, and b) receive a compliment by the opposing counsel who reached out to praise the respect and professionalism he showed toward all involved in the case.
In law school, Adam was part of a two-person team that won not just the National Championship in Client Counseling, but also the International Championship.
The competitions mirror the initial client interview and focus on the attorney's ability to identify the client's legal issue(s) and effectively collaborate
to arrive at a solution to the problem.
Adam is a member of the Iowa State Bar Association, the Nebraska State Bar Association, the Polk County Bar Association and the Iowa Defense Counsel Association.
When he's not meeting with clients, you can find Adam spending time with his wife and dog. He also likes to show off his competitive nature outside of the legal world. As an avid sports fan he loves playing golf, softball and sand volleyball and watching the Huskers and Green Bay Packers win.
